"I bought these edison bulbs to go with the Mechanic's beacon lights also sold at Anthro... although the filaments are beautiful, the light is too bright to look at directly and I have no choice but to return them. They would work great if they were covered by a lamp shade , but then you loose the pretty antique look. I would recommend only if using for indirect lighting."

Vintage Feel for your Vintage lighting

Pros: super match for vintage fixtures, nice white light, the filiment is the perfect twist
Cons: pricey for lightbulbs - i hope they last!
"I look long and hard for great vintage-inspired bulbs for my antique chandeliers. These really fit the bill. They are subtly different from a regular bulb -- the difference doesn't hit you in the eye, so to speak -- but they really suit a vintage fixture. I hope the life of the bulb is long, as it's very expensive for a light bulb . . . especially if you have several chandeliers!"
