Pros: beautiful, perfectly proportioned, very high-quality fabric and construction
Cons: it's a bit short
"Everyone always says, "The photo online does not do this garment justice," and in this case that is most definitely true. The Flight-of-Swans dress by Twinkle by Wenlan is exceptional in every way: exceptionally pretty, exceptionally well-made, exceptionally well-proportioned, and, now that it's on sale, exceptionally bargain-priced! My one disappointment is that I thought it would be knee-length on me (I'm 5'3", size 4) but instead it's a good 2 /12 inches above the knee in front and even a little bit shorter in back. Rats. But I'm definitely, definitely keeping it."

Pros: beautiful craftsmanship
Cons: too busty too short for medium breasted/tall girl
"I love the look and feel of this dress. The material and craftmanship is goregous. I tried my usual size 4 and it fit like a glove (5'9 130lbs 34C), but the ladies were quite indecent and it was so short (6 inches above my knees!), so I had to pass on this dress. It had a beautiful shape to the skirt and the corseted top was really form fitting and flattering. This would work best with more petite frames in both bust and stature. I wish it would have worked, though because it is really pretty!"

Pros: beautiful fabric and print
Cons: very short, smushes the chest
"I wanted to love this dress. The fabric is thick and heavy, the print is gorgeous, the back interesting. BUT there are two major problems with the fit:
1. The front smushed my chest (I'm only a 34B, and tried it on in my usual size 2). It made me look like I have no chest at all. I tried with and w/o a bra, to no avail.
2. This dress is so short it's ridiculous -- especially since it's so poofy, which makes it seem even shorter. I am 5'7", and the dress was 7 or 8 inches above my knee. What's worse is that it has a tiny hem. Come on, people -- if you want to make dresses that are so short, at least make a decent hem so we can lengthen them if we want! It felt more like a tunic than a dress.

"I had to size up one, my true size 8 was very tight for my C cup. The 10 allowed me to breathe. Very cute design, love the ruffle at the square neckline. Fabric is quite substantial, not flimsy at all. Love the print, mix of golden yellow and black."

Pros: beautiful fabric unique design
"This dress caught my eye since it has all the colors my daughter wants to use in her wedding next fall. The fabric has a beautiful sheen which makes it feel elegant. The neckline has a sparkly fabric facing and the fit is very flattering. I am 5' 2", so the lenth is at the knee, which is right for me. My husband looked at me with a twinkle in his eye I haven't seen in quite a while!"

Pros: quality fabric, goes great with a small black bolero
Cons: too big up top, shoulder straps don't fit right
"I tried this on and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable & high quality the fabric was. The waist area fit perfectly, and the skirt was great - just enough flare.
My biggest problem was that the bust area was much too big - I could see into the dress by looking down :( Then again I'm a 32A so I'm sure bustier girls will look great in it. The ruffle detail at the bust also works against you if you are small-busted. Also, the shoulder straps seem to be at a strange angle in the front.
Otherwise this dress is much prettier in real life :)"

Pros: great quality, well tailored, unique print, pockets, great detailing
Cons: may not flatter athletic and tall girls
"I was surprised to read that other reviewers found this dress to be ill-fitting on top/not true to size. I normally wear a 4 in Anthro clothes and this dress in a 4 fit me perfectly. I'm 5'6, curvy with a 32DD bust and smaller ribcage and waist. I suppose if you have broader shoulders (mine are wimpy) and/or a bigger ribcage this may not be the best style for you. But,for those of you out there who normally wear styles like this I think you will love it! The dress is very well made and definitely special. I was skeptical about the print at first (it's definitely unusual) but once I put the dress on I fell in love! I'm looking forward to wearing it to a wedding on New Year's Eve :)"

Pros: neckline, fabric, cut, pockets!!!
Cons: may not work for bustier girls
"The neckline, pockets, and fabric are what make this dress. If you are a busty girl, this dress may not work for you (I'm 5'6" and a 34A). I absolutely love it and it will be perfect for the holidays! I get compliments on all of my Anthropologie dress purchases!"

Cons: if you're tall it may be shorter but still looks g
"The Angels sang when I put this one on, It's Under The Radar I think on most people's wishlist...But I Know Twinkle by Wenlan's Merch, and I knew this one would be amazing. I Swear if any of you buy it online in your True Dress size and get it in the mail and try it on, You'll Thank Me...
The Bust Has a Crumb Collar and the bodice is sort of corset like without being intrusive, It will Lift up any one's Bust like the dresses in the Movie Emma with Gweneth Paltrow. The Skirt Flares out in the perfect place into an amazing silhouette that will flatter anyone, and you'll feel sort of like a little ballerina. Not to mention the amazing silk, print, and tailoring.

Pros: gorgeous fabric, beautiful cut, true to size
Cons: washed me out
"I adore Wenlan Chia's designs, and I eagerly anticipated slipping into this dress. While it wasn't right for me, it still might be for you.
The fabric is lovely. It has a beautiful texture, which gives it a true 1950s feel. The cut is quite lovely, too, and I found the dress fit true to size.
I absolutely loved the dress; however, I did not purchase it because the pattern of the fabric was not flattering to me. I have very fair skin, and I just seemed to get lost in the dress. I might try it on again with tights and see if that helps. It truly is a lovely dress."

"Bought this dress for my daughter who is normally a size 6-8, with a 36 C bust. Couldn't even zip it up. Anthropologie, there are many athletic girls out there who are not a size 2 - how about some dresses for them?"

"This dress looks really strange in real life. The corset part is very 18th century: stiff. And there is like a ruffle at the top which makes it look even stranger. Then the skirt really pops out on the bottom...it made me look a bit like a clown. And I'm really average sized: 5'5" and wear an S on top, s/M on bottom. Nice dress, but you have to embrace the strange to wear this...not obvious from the picture though..."

Pros: pretty fabric, really worth the money
Cons: tight in chest
"I would normally wear a size 4 or 6 at anthro but I had to size up to an 8 for my chest! I am a 32DD and I almost broke the zipper on the 6. The 8 fit my chest but was loose in the waist. Somehow I thought the dress was less money and didn't buy it but now as I think about it, I am going back today and getting this. The pattern is what gets me. The swan represents grace and makes me think of the story of the ugly duckling. This is me. I have recently gone from a size 14/16 to a 4/6 and there is something so positive about this pattern. It is the opposite of the skull and cross bone trend. I can have what I need altered because a dress like this doesn't come around very often."

Pros: gorgeous pattern, beautiful material, great party dress
Cons: a bit snug on top
"When I saw this dress in the catalog I thought it was very pretty. It wasn't until I tried it on in the store that I was blown away. There is nothing about the material on this dress that is cheap or flimsy at all. The fabric is a heavier material for colder months and the black and gold pattern across the white background is simply gorgeous.
The construction of the dress is top notch although there were two things that stood out immediately. One, the dress is shorter than I thought it would be. I'm average height (5'5") and the skirt portion hits well above the knee. I intend to pair it with tights which I believe will help this problem. Two, the top of the dress is more fitted then the bottom. I tried the size 10 and although the bottom half of the dress fit perfectly, the top half is a bit snug for my 36D chest. It's not uncomfortable, I can still move around in the dress. At any rate, I knocked off one star for the top half being a bit snug. I do however, love the small creative detail right at the chest as well as the pockets.
This will make for a great party dress for the upcoming holiday season. It truly is gorgeous"

Pros: beautiful fabric and print
Cons: length
"The first thing I noticed when I pulled this dress out of the box was how short it was. I measured the skirt portion and it is only about 18", and it has pouf to it, so it seemed even shorter on my 5ft6 frame.
I normally wear a 2 in Anthropologie brands, but I find they are a bit vanity sized. I should have sized up in this dress since it was an outside brand, it was too tight in the bust for me(34C).
I would describe this best as a fun, party dress because of the length."

Pros: gorgeous fabric
Cons: awful fit
"The dress itself is constructed of beautiful fabric--in fact, I think it's of higher quality than the "Emerald Cut Dress". The pattern is adorable--I originally thought the lighter brush strokes were yellow, but they are, in real life, gold.
With that said, the fit is simply odd. Unlike the previous reviewer, I found it to be a tad loose on the top, and very fitted at the waist, so that the skirt flared out. I'm used to Anthro's dresses nipping in this area (and I normally love it), but in this case it was very unflattering. The seam was quite visible and looked as if it divided the dress in half.
Last, back to the fabric. The bust detail is lovely in photos, but looked a tad cheap close up."

"bought this dress for a special occasion that i have coming up and i love it! the material is thick so it's the perfect party dress for fall/winter. only bad thing is it runs a little long for my build - needed to take the straps up a little. but it's still worth it."

Pros: beautiful fabric and construction
Cons: isn't made to accomodate a curvy chest
"This dress is absolutely beautiful and high quality however, like many dresses I have been trying on at Anthropologie lately, the top half is too tight and the bottom half is too loose. If I go up a size the bottom gets even bigger. Very frustrating because these dresses don't seem to be made for a woman with somewhat of a chest."
