Fun, whimsical curtains!

"The background of these curtains is definitely more of a light tan color than the nearly white color shown in the photos. I still love them and they really pull my living room together while adding a pop of whimsical color. They are lined but sunlight does shine through. I actually prefer them at night without the sun hitting them and making them more brown. They just look better at night, but the quality is obviously very good...and they are worth the price."

"Gorgeous drapes. Absolutely beautiful quality and really want to keep them. The pattern size is awesome and would be perfect, but the cream background is very much a tan. More like burlap. Such a bummer because they are too much like the color of our walls. They have to go back. But they're all coming to me in separate packages for some reason so I'm going to wait for them all to arrive (4). That's annoying, but the product is very nice and I only gave 4 stars because the picture is a bit deceiving."

Pros: pretty bold textural well-made happy, not exorbitant timeless/modern
"Thanks to other reviews of these mustard/yellow curtains, I hoped that the less bright version would be perfect for our living room. They are. They're lined - show a lovely linen pattern when the light passes from outside. When lit from inside the flowers look velvety. The pattern lines up curtain to curtain! and are both elegant and cheery. They're not yellow or bright, but ochre/pumpkin, warm, and recede more than pop. Love em'! Thanks, Anthropologie for the unusual and beautiful."

"I bought a pair of theses in navy/ linen this is true if you got a lot of light in your window that they will appear (the design ) more black than navy i just moved them into my dinning room where there is not as much light ?sun and they looks absolutely marvelous the only complain i have is one panel came in not wrap up nothing just bunch up into a box?????? i suspect it was a return. the other panel on one side the stitching was not straight but not obvious so i kept the panel. the curtains are heavy good quality and beautiful i love them so much i am going to take the chance to buy them in natural color :) you will need to iron them too before hanging them."

"I was a bit apprehensive when ordering online from Australia but having read the previous reviews, I knew they would be perfect. The colour of the linen is darker than the pictures on the website but this suited our grey walls and with the velvet texture of the flowers, provided a real warmth to the bedroom.
The only downside is that when we ordered 2x panelled curtains, they came in two seperate deliveries which we didnt mind, however the colour of the linen varied slightly, The first one was perfect - had a darker grain colour while the second had a slight yellow tinge. You can only notice this in a brightly lit room and on close inspection, however this is ok for the bedroom as the light is a little dim."

"I ordered the curtains in yellow and was so disappointed. The color is dark and drab. Online the colors look so bright and sunny. Do not order these if you are looking for a happy sunny feel. These have a very brown hue to them, both the linen background and the not-so-yellow flowers. I will be returning them."

"I purchased these curtains after reading the reviews that the color was slightly more of a mustard color than buttercream yellow as pictured. They are perfect for our bedroom and we love them. Anthropologie really should post updated pictures though, the color is nothing close to what is pictured. The darker color worked for us and I think they are stunning."

"The curtains are beautiful in fabric and design, but my rating is low because they were not usable. I ordered three panels, two for one window, and another for a second window, but all three curtain panels were slightly different in the color of the background linen and the yellow flowers. If they matched, I would definitely have kept them."

"I love these drapes! They are a very heavy weight making them feel luxurious. I had three other smaller windows, so I had my tailor split three panels into six. They came out beautifully! Also, the floral pattern is velvet, giving the drapes nice texture."

"I agree w/other reviewers. PLEASE post new pics of the mustard-color! background is TAN and print is dark mustard. Those that say they didnt need to iron........i wish mine had been packed like yours. DEFINITELY had to iron, and it's tough to get all the wrinkles out. NICE THICK curtain. lining is nice but i, too, wish it was TACKED DOWN to the curtains! these are heavy quality curtains and block quite a bit of light and block LOTS of heat!!! Have the 63" in my kitchen and they really warm up the room, asthetically. More than i wanted to spend but gave them a try and i'm glad i did!"

"these curtains are amazing! I'm using three panels combined to cover a large window and also be a mock headboard. they are all the exact same length and the pattern matches up between them perfectly. the color is a nice deep navy which the picture doesn't show that well.
note: the bedding in the picture is the georgina bedding also at anthro!"

"The quality is great and I love the pattern, but the base is much darker beige than pictured. When I opened the box and saw it, I thought they shipped a wrong one.
I don't think it's so much the tone of yellow that's darker; it's the base that's making the mustard yellow look more dull and almost tonal to the base in certain light. It's not bright and fun like pictured, but more like an old-grandma's-couch looking.
Very disappointed that I have 8 heavy panels to return!
Frankly, Anthropologie should have updated photos and product description.
I guess I'll spend my bonus elsewhere!"

Too dark for the hubs; I'm SO SAD to return!

"I love, Love, LOVE these curtains. All the reviews are right. I should have read better though. The "white" part of this curtain really is much darker than I was anticipating - even after reading almost all the reviews. I would say it's about two shades darker than the second picture (from the left) that the website provides. Our comforter is a very WHITE and navy blue pattern (I was mixing patterns in the room) so it's not going to work for us though I love the curtains so much I really want to keep them. My husband was the voice of reason, "You're already mixing two patterns and now they're not even really the same colors." Sigh. I was trying to figure out another room for them, including my living room, but I don't think it will work there either. Sigh again."

"Ordered these a couple of weeks ago and finally got the curtain rod up today. I absolutely love them and the aesthetic they add to our family room. Only slight complaint: I do wish the background was slightly lighter - more like what it appears in the website photos - rather than more beige. Definitely a little pricier than I would have preferred, but no regrets whatsoever!"

"I love these curtains. (See my picture with lights out) The curtains are an off white cotton-y heavy fabric, lined with off white cotton, with purple velvet raised motif. My room is a little small, but the panels fit as a nice compliment, my family loves them. They look lighter purple coming out of box, and when you put up curtains, the color changes to a more dark burgundy/purple. Some thought it to look brown-ish. But with my own purple silk panels side by side with the Anthropologie curtains, the color is clear. I love how the sunlight comes through diffused -- this is why I uploaded a photo of my room with the lights off."
