Pros: colorful heavy fabric
"I wasn't even thinking about purchasing this item, but when I went into my local Anthro store to purchase the Pilar quilt this item was laid out on the display bed. When I laid out the comforter to get a better look at the quilt, the pillow display just looked so nice with it I splurged and picked up this surprising little number. I'm so glad I did too! I really adds dimension to the bedding and I'm so happy with it. At almost 30 years old, this is my first big girl bed and I know I will have it and enjoy it for years to come!
PS. I read some of the reviews of this item and I have no idea what they are talking about. The stitching and and patterns on this item are beautiful. The zig zag stiching if anything adds character and there was no smell that I noticed."

"I ordered the pillow with the zig zag pattern not the flower. It is a beautiful pillow. The colours in the pillow I received were more reds and pinks that the darker colours pictured online, but I actually preferred this. The pillow is well made. I actually to order another one soon."

"I just got this pillow and I'm in love with it!! So elegant, classic and beautiful. Totally different for what is out there for X Large pillows.The only problem the insert is not down so I'd changed the insert and now look like $300 pillows...LOVE IT!!"

Beautiful but very poor quality

"This pillow has been falling apart from the minute I brought it home. Right away, some of the sewn-on fabric (the flower design on the front) started to pull loose. Now, because the appliqued fabric is so thin, a number of the petals are rolled down completely, and the design looks muted. Also, the thick white stitching on the back of the pillow started to pull out right away, and it continues to pull out all of the time. The whole pillow looks shaggy and drab after several months of use.
If the price matched the quality, this pillow should cost $28 instead of $88. I would only recommend it if you used it strictly for decoration and never touched it in any way."

"Love this pillow. The multi colors are perfect on the front and I love the orange back. Some reviews mentioned the piping was not a good color but I think it adds to the eclectic look in a good way and it is not what stands out compared to the fabric on the front and back. It's not a down fill, but it is still filled nicely and is definitely comfortable to lean against. It would brighten up any dull spot."

"This pillow is big - it's a punch of color in my otherwise grey and neutral living room, and it really ties everything together.
A bit pricey, but it's really well made - the appliqué stitching looks hand done to me. As noted in other reviews, the appliqués do vary in color. See attached pictures for size of pillow on a couch and close up."

"After MUCH deliberation and more than a few arguments with my loving husband about spending so much on a single pillow, I purchased this from my local Anthro. I had gone twice before to purchase it but had walked out because all the pillows apparently vary a lot, and when I would go in person, it always looked a lot more DULL, except for the hideously orange back and neon yellow/green edges.
I finally found a store than had 6, and I lined them all up and chose the most vibrant one, with the least offensive looking yellowish lime edges (some have more of a pattern on the edges than others, which mellows out the garish edge color).
Mine had no gas smell straight from the store, and I'm soooo glad I bought it. I absolutely love how huge and beautiful it is. And really, when I looked around online, all nice pillows cost at least this much --- this is how I convinced my husband that $88 was actually a steal! LOL.
I only wish that the back were almost any other color than orange. In particular, I wish it were just a more calm, neutral color. But thankfully, when it's proudly on display, you only notice the lovely pattern on the front. I'm very pleased with my purchase."

"I have been eyeing down this pillow for SO long and I just got it today. I decided to go to the store to see it in person again because although they all pretty much look the same, they actually do vary a bit in the patchwork. I wanted one that had more shades of purples and oranges. In the store they had 4 on display, so I grabbed them all and put them side to side and compared them. The stitching was a bit messed up on some but I purchased it anyway and let them know and they gave me 15% off. It really is a beautiful pillow!! Also, I didn't notice any smell of gas on it, maybe it is just when they send it in the mail because it probably comes straight from the warehouse, you most likely will need to air it out and dry clean it if anything. In the store none smelt bad!"

"I know it's $88. It is the most expensive pillow I've bought... But you can't find a pillow like this anywhere else. The design is beautiful. Looks great in my home - I have a very eclectic aesthetic. The threads on the front have frayed some and I expect if this pillow were to get heavy use it would not hold up as well. But mine sits in a chair relatively undisturbed so the fraying is not out of control. And for me, I guess the fraying gives it a bit of vintage appeal. The colors on the website appear true to life for me."

"I bought one of these back in the summer and I bought another one this month, and the colors vary tremendously....the first one I got was full of dark colors (burnt orange/greens/ tans/ blues) and the one I got yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised was all purples/pinks/yellows.....so subsequently now I really like the one I just received and am not crazy about the old one, but at least they are different, and unique so that's fun. My husband says the old was is the one where husbands' don't complain that it's too girly...ha! But anyhow, if you want a certain tone/color scheme, try to find this in a store, if you aren't picky and you'll take any variety of the colors, then buy online, but you don't know what you are getting exactly..."

"I love the look of my pillow and it brightens up any room and my mood. But when I squeeze it tight it lets me down, because I wish it were Down! For the price I wish it wasn't synthetic fill;-/ Mine did not have any poor scents to it, I bought off the floor so maybe that helped it have airing out time? I think I will buy a feather insert than it will be 100 percent amazing in my eyes and arms! <3 the color story."

"I wanted this pillow for so, so long and finally bought it with my birthday discount. Even then, the pillow was not worth it. The one online has the perfect colors, swatch placements, and shape. The one I received was all orange and pink and did not even create the same flower shape. I tried to exchange it at the store and they were all like this. As reviewers said before, it smelled strongly of natural gas and actually gave me a headache."

Yes it's the most expensive pillow I have ever purchased-but it's well worth it because it's unique and beautiful! Wanted a small pop of color to go with my cream cirrus bedding and it was perfect! Now I can be a bit more flexible with my drapes and linens! It can be washed because it's actually an pillow cover (strong zipper) with insert included!

"I got two of these gorgeous pillows at a store in Los Angeles. I was very excited that they offered me the vaccuum sealed pillows at the stores, instead of the ones out of the shelf. I figured no dust and brand new is better. I get them home and open them up and immediately smell something odd. Not until reading reviews do I recognize, it's gas. I am returning them. It's a shame because they are gorgeous."

"The colors are not as bright and lively as shown in the photo. In real life the fabric is a little more dull. The pillow was also much more bigger in size than I had anticipated. It is huge! There were no unusual smells but I got mine at the brick & mortar store so had an opportunity to inspect it before. I also did not notice any loose threads or fraying."

"I have absolutely zero complaints. It did not smell of gas, and the colors are a wonderful array. It adds a great pop of colors to our bedroom. My husband is even okay with it, which says a lot. It's very large, so know this before you buy."
