"I agree with the previous reviewers that have said this is short-waisted. I'm 5'9" and a 34DD, so I decided to size up to a 10 from my regular 8 to try to fix the shortness problem. While the waist did hit under the bust, it was in a weird empire-ish spot, and the dress was way too large. I was hoping for a fit at the natural waist like on the mannequin. The belt isn't anything special. This dress is a miss in fit for me, however, the material is soft and the pattern is charming. This would be great for a shorter lady, or someone that's a fan of empire waists. Overall, I had to pass."

"This dress is very cute with the polka dots and retro-styling, but it made me look really stumpy-- as the other reviewers mentioned, it's short-waisted. My biggest problem was the fabric. It felt like the material camping tents are made from, and the lining felt even worse. Very unbreathable. The fabric quality made it feel like a dress from that infamous fast fashion chain that ends in "21." For the price, it should have been made from better fabrics."

"I wanted to love this dress...it's identical to a Kate Spade dress I lusted after a while back...however, this one is polyester! Kate Spades -once it went on sale - was 100% silk and cheaper. There is no way I would pay over $100 for a dress of such poor quality. Anthro? What happened?!"

Great lightweight Summer Dress

"ok, so I liked this one. I read reviews suggesting ot size up, but I personally don't think that is the case. It seemed pretty TTS to me. I took one size up to the dressing room and the dress swallowed me. I really like the cut, and thought it was flattering. I'm fairly short (5' 4") and this hits just past my knee. The belt is pretty cheap/flimsy, but is ok and could work.
It is very lightweight (but lined) so would be great for sprint/summer in warm (HOT) Southern Climates. After saying all of this however, I did not purchase the other day. As much as it is nice, it didn't blow me away, so I'll be waiting for the sale..."

"I love polka dots so I couldn't resist this dress. I am 5'3 and this dress was just above my knees. I am 135 lbs and typically a 4 or 6. I originally ordered the 4, and it fit, but the waist was way too tight. Felt like I couldn't breathe. So I returned that and had anthro ship a 6. The 6 isn't as fitted as the 4, but at least I could breathe. In the 4, the dress was more of a pencil skirt, and in the 6 it was a bit more A-line. Either way, its a winner."

"I fell in love with this dress when I saw it online but when it came in the mail, I was disappointed. I agree with another reviewer, it is short waisted and I would definitely size up (though I am slender and sizing up would've made it too big in the waist for me).
In the online photos, the dress appears to be more of a bright white, but in person it's not. In fact, it's more of an off white champagne color which I didn't like. It's also polyester which tends to make me warm since it's a fabric that doesn't really breathe (I failed to read this before I ordered the dress).
Also, I was disappointed in the belt that came with the dress-it was really low quality so you'd definitely have to get a different and cuter belt-like the yellow one the model wears in the photo (I was prepared to do this anyhow, but was just surprised at how bad the belt that came with it was).
If you can get this dress to work for you it would be pretty cute, but I sent it back."

"I am average height (5'6") and usually wear a 4 or 6 in dresses, but this dress is so short-waisted that I will have to go to an 8. I love the dress, the design is great and it's very feminine. Hopefully the 8 will work!"

"I don't typically write reviews but I depend on them when I shop so I figured I would contribute. I have a very difficult time buying dresses online because I am very busty; 34DDD. I bought this dress online and was very happy that it fit perfectly. There is ample room up top while still being form fitting around the waist. I am usually a size 8 everywhere but up top. I ordered a 10 thinking I would have to alter it but I did not. It is very pretty and light; a perfect dress for the summer!"
