Pros: concept
"Based on rave reviews, I ordered this just before it went on sale. Sadly, it did not work for me. I am 5'6, long legs, short torso...maybe with a longer torso this would work better? I could not get it to cover my tummy like other reviewers said it did for them. Tightness in skirt was just too much...and bagginess on top almost made it worse. I think it is a great dress, love the idea, the color... was hoping to wear it with tights and boots...when I went to return it at my store, I saw that it was on sale for 1/2 price... I tried it again in sm, med and large... still couldn't buy it!"

"Dress is fantanastic! When my husband was ironing it he commented he wasn't sure what it would look like but wow! It covers tummy flaws and accentuates your bum and bust. I think it would look great on any body type but especially if you have curves. I wore it with some jazzy spanx tights and black heeled tall boots. Great purchase!!"

"This is my favorite purchase of the year! I feel as though this is a wintery dress, but I am open to hearing ideas on how to wear this in the spring/summer as well - perhaps with the foxglove boots?? I wear this dress with my spanx/confidence skirt underneath, I am usually a size 4 and the small fit perfectly. I also pair it with a statement necklace from Anthro - drop necklace with red in it!, navy blue tights from anthro (much brighter than my navy ones from club monaco, which means a bigger statment), brown boots and the brown belt from anthro, using the lower loop hole (tortoise cirque belt $28). LOVE IT! Got so many compliments when I wore it out NYE for a comfy/sexy dinner with my man. Get it - you will not regret it :)"

"this dress could be worn as a cute maternity dress? I have one or two of the shirts and love them but this dress is so darn cute. I'm in 2nd trimester and am having trouble finding anything cute to wear that I could also where post baby (if I ever get to go out again! :-)

"I'm a size 4-6, with wide hips, wide flat bottom and small waist. 5'7" tall, 135 lbs, 34D bust. The small was plenty roomy. I even wondered what an XS would have fit like but there wasn't one for me to try. The dress was super comfy, easy to accessorize - I thought I'd wear it w/tights, tall boots, and a long necklace or two. Seemed it would have been hard to fit a slim sleeved cardigan over the sleeves but otherwise a great basic dress. Very flattering tooo because of the ruching. Definitely clingy and shows curves - but good drape, length, placement of everything. An easy dress to wear. Work worthy for the relaxed work envrion. Not super special by any means, but just hip enough. Good neutral"

"The material is soft and stretchy. The dress is loose where you need it (for those of us who have had babies) and tight in the skirt (below the belly) making it incredibly flattering. My husband LOVES this dress. It is very comfortable. Great for the office and date night."

"Bought this online because of all the great reviews ... and was not disappointed! I ordered the grey in a S (I'm 5'9" and 130 lbs ... usually wearing a 4 or 6) and it fits perfectly. The bottom is really tight but because of the ultra flattering dolman top it is not trashy looking ... just a little sexy! I wore it with Spanxx patterned tights and my black boots. My husband loved it too - always a bonus!"

"This is one of those items that you see on the hanger and can't quite make it out. You put it on and your body is what makes it work.
I am curvy, but because this dress is loose on top, I don't feel like I am totally sexing it out. It is flattering and if I could say anything negative, it is that it doesn't come in black too!

Pros: diagonal top cut gathers on size washable fabric, neutral color instead of black versatile occass
"A great versatile dress. Love the soft fabric which looks like cotton but is modal and can be hand washed. Color is a dark slate that is flattering and great for showing off jewelry. Weight wise is 4 seasons. i bought it to go under two of the Anthro's sweaters that dips down on the front sides. If in a very warm room,the sweater comes off but increasingly, in the North East, people are keeping their houses much cooler and I wanted something thin enough to go under a sweater. Even flattering, with the gathers up the side, for lumps and bums. Runs a roomy TTS. Diagonal cuts of chest very good for the figure also. All in all a good purchase even at full price!"

"This dress looks like nothing on the hanger, but try it on and it's hot! The top is drapey without a low cut, making it appropriate for daytime wear. The bottom half is super sexy, hugging every curve but disguising the tummy area with ruching. You have to feel good about your body when you wear it though, as it is very form fitting."

"The body-hugging flattery of this dress has not been exaggerated. My junk has never looked so classy! I agree with another reviewer that one must be comfortable with one's curves to wear this. I am very curvy, and the medium is perfect. The top drapes so nicely, and the ruching in the waist and skirt is ever so forgiving to the belly. I like how I can pull the dress down for a longer skirt, or ruche it up for a mini dress. As soon as I tried it on, I wanted another one in a different color, but only gray is available. I see that there is a blouse version in purple, so I am going to snap it up. I can't wait to wear this dress!"

"I picked this dress to wear on Thanksgiving this year- It was awesome! It was so comfortable with my over the knee black boots and tights. I looked so pulled together after slaving away in the kitchen all day :)
I would say though that it seemed to run a little big so keep to whatever your regular size is."

"If you have a kim K or Niki Minaj rear and love it then get this dress. The only con is the location when the unnecessary stitching is placed. Right along the nipple line. I have 34D's and the "X" stitching does not lay nicely. My fix is by making it off the shoulder. Other than that..it is for girls who have an butt and like to show it."

"i saw this dress online, and checked it out in the store when i was in the neighborhood. the dolman top is very flattering, and the ruched skirt is forgiving. the only down side is that the skirt part is thin, so i'll be wearing leggings underneath. my usual size s felt a little big, so i got it one side down in xs. i think it will stretch out a little bit given the nature of the knit. overall, love this dress! i'm pairing it with a missoni scarf in purple frost."

"Saw it online and loved it. Went to the store to try it on and loved it. I'm very curvy on bottom so I guess it's "revealing" in that sense, but I think it is also flattering to girls who are more hip dominant. Because I'm fairly small framed on my upper body the details help balance out and it's great with a bright scarf. Also very comfortable."

"when i picked up this dress in the store it didn't look like much on the hanger. Once i got the dress on it was a totally different story. It is so comfortable and sexy! The material is soft and light. It hugs all the right curves. Its sexy without trying to hard.

"I'm really conflicted about this dress. I bought it, brought it back to the store to return the next day, and then at the last minute decided to keep it. The fabric is super soft and comfortable, and I love that the cut is so unique. I tried a small and a medium and, weirdly, the small actually seems to show fewer imperfections, I guess since the fabric is pulled a little tighter. In my opinion, it looks better with a wide belt.
The top is very drapey--another reason why a smaller size is better--and the bottom shows every single curve of your hips and thighs, so you have to be pretty happy with your lower body. I'm not a tiny person--5'10", 140 lbs, and a 34D--but I actually think the dress makes me look good, as long as I stand up straight to keep my belly in. My husband, however, hates the dress, although he can't (or won't) explain why.
So I think I'll keep it, although I've got to be in a very confident mood to wear it."

"I gave this dress high marks and said I would recommend it, but this was another one of those items that just did not "wow" me. When I saw it hanging in the store on a hangar, it looked drab and boring BUT as soon as I saw it on line and saw how it is supposed to be worn, I immediately saw how this could be more flattering on. This is definately a sexy looking, yet comfortable dress on and I thought it would look great with tights and knee high boots. But for me, it just was not special enough to buy it. It is very form fitting at the bottom and blousy at the top. For reference, I'm about 123 pounds, thin everywhere but with a 34D bust. I tried on the XS and it was very fitted around the bottom and just right at the top. I had thought of trying on the small to see if it would be less tight at the bottom but I think the top would have been too big. I can see a lot of girls loving this dress but again, as I always say (in some of my other reviews) that for me to buy something, it really has to wow me when I put it on and this dress just did not do that for me."
