"This dress takes the cake for puffiness that I have ever come across, and I am a lover of puffy dresses, there has not been one puffy dress that I did not love, but that said, the jury is out on this one, I was not fortunate to come across this dress at store level, but obsessd over this on the website, lookes soo adorable, cute, summery, for all types of occasions and is worthy of being a wedding dress infact, based on the many reviews pretty much everyone said this ran 1-2 sizes small, for this brand I have lots of 4's and one 6, as I am 34b, 28, 34, 120 lbs, and at 5'6, so I decided to be on the safe side and order 6/8/10, I didnt even try on the 6 or 8, but went straight for the 10, because it looked like a 4, zipped it up, which was slightly a pain, because of the overlap in material at the zipper, wish it wasnt there, SUPER TIGHT! EVERYWHERE, WHAT?, Soo tight, couldnt breath or be comfy in any way possible, even after adjusting the straps as long as they could go, they actualy needed to be about 6 inches longer, looked in the miror, my boobs looked like they where bursting at the seems, and on the verge of breaking the seems, I took out my measure tape, the bust was barely at 33 inches, and the waist was just making it at 27 inches, and this was the size 10?? So in my opinion this dress does not run 1-2 sizes smaller but 3-4 times smaller, so here I am debating on weather I should fork over the money for a size 12 in the hopes the bust and waist may be even an inch bigger, so lke I said the jury is out on this one, the dress is cute and pretty, but kind of unusual weirdly puffy, like a cupcake or cake topper, and runs extra, extra small, hym, what to do?"

"I got a crush on this dress when I saw it online. It is really too expensive and after a long time struggle I ordered it. For reference, I am 5.5 feet (166 cm), 32 b, and 105 lb, usually wearing size 0. I thought the skinny design and high waistline might fit for me. When I received my first order, size 0, it was really tight on my bust. Otherwise, it looks terrific. So I sent it back for exchanging to size 2. The exchanged products really let me down. It was washed by the former owner, the label nearly dropped, and several places defective. Then I sent it back again and exchanged for the third one. I have to say the the dress is elegant but doest worth for 200 dollar."

"I really like Moulinette Souers' dresses in the past and I thought this one looked really cute. But once on-it was way too poofy on the bottom. I like feminine dresses, 50's dresses, vintage dresses. But the amount of material on the skirt portion of this dress was too overwhelming. This dress might work better for someone with a very straight and ectomorph body type. This dress seemed too dressy for every day wear because of the very very full skirt."

Pros: simple yet elegant summer dress

"after reading all the widely varied reviews of this dress, i was a bit hesitant. however, since it's a beautiful dress and hard to get ahold of -- when i first saw it, it was only available in a 10 -- i snatched it up when it became available in a 4, and then just to be safe, again when it became available in a 2. i'm 5'0", 34c and i recently bought the overwhelmed aster dress (also by moulinette soeurs) in a regular size 2 (tried it on in the store). i might've been able to get into a 0 in that dress, but the 2 fit comfortably and there was no 0 in the store. 4 was the smallest size available in this dress, so i snatched it up, then a 2 a day later. the sizing is odd with this dress. the dress is definitely not for someone with a long torso. the 4 fit me well -- not gaping in the rib cage and the top was the right length to cover my short torso. the 2 however fit far worse. the torso seemed way too short (would've spent the whole night tugging it up), but that sort of made sense given that it was one size down from the 4... but, the rib cage on the 2 was noticeable looser than the 4. the length seemed to be the same on both the 2 and the 4. the length hits 1-2 inches below my knee, so being short, i'll need to wear this with heels to add a little length visually to what can actually be seen of my legs.
maybe it was this particular size 2 dress, but it fit terribly. i will be returning it to a store shortly. i washed the 4 as recommended, and love it even more. the poofiness at the waist has diminished a little with washing, although the bottom is still full thanks to the crinoline lining.
my biggest complaint -- with the price of this dress, the peculiar fit/sizing, and the lack of availability in stores, anthropologie.com really should've made an effort to offer discount shipping. it's so expensive and then to have to pay shipping twice was so frustrating."

"It was love at first sight!!! Tried the dress on in Miami and it fit like a glove. Beautiful, classic shape. Full skirt that is dying for a twirl. Can't wait to wear this to my cousin's baby shower and later to a garden party. Great dress!"

"I'm a big fan of Moulinette Soers dresses and usually are good for the price. I tried this one on just for the fun of it. It is very full at the bottom which makes it fun and somewhat retro looking. Great dress for Summer parties/weddings. Definately more suited for the younger ladies. Overall, a sweet and fun little dress!"

"I found the size fit the same as other Moulinette Seours dresses. It sits high and has a beautiful drape. The straps are flimsy and one actually ripped apart - I fixed it, but my husband thought that was ridiculous for a $200 dress. The price is high, but I didn't want to risk the dress being sold out (it is already gone in certain sizes online). Paired it with the thin gold belt and heels."

"I was a bit apprehensive about buying this after reading the mostly negative reviews, but I just received it and LOVE it. It does have a very full skirt, but when ironed it looks great. I'm 5'7", 34D, and a 12 fit me great. Paired with a jacket and heels looks fabulous. A belt does help pull things together, but with those simple accessories this is a dress that would go well in any wardrobe."

"I bought this dress for my casual garden wedding this summer and it is absolutely perfect. It's light and airy and very flattering--I'm in love.
That said, the first time I tried on the dress I was not impressed. I'm glad I didn't buy it online, because I think the pictures do not accurately represent the dress. In fact, my local store never even got the dress as part of their regular shipment but there were quite a few in stock due to online returns.
A few things to note before you purchase this dress:
It runs a bit big. The first one I tried was a 4 and while it fit (I'm 5'4", 140 lbs.,high-waisted, and rather small on top) it was NOT flattering. I'm usually a size 8 in dresses, but can sometimes get into a 6. Size 6 in this dress fits me PERFECTLY, so if you're in between sizes, try the smaller one.
The waist really is quite high. This works well for me, but I can see it being an issue for those with a longer torso. It may look more empire-waisted than pictured.
Also, the top is VERY sheer. There's not quite enough structure there to hold everything in--and I'm only a 36B. I wouldn't really recommend this if you have a larger bust. You'll also need a nude strapless bra or in my case, a bustier because it is totally see-through, even in dim fitting room lighting. Once I got that figured out, I fell head over heels for this dress.
One more thing: unless you have a model's long legs, the dress is tea length. This makes it look rather formal, which is another reason I love it for my wedding. I probably wouldn't wear it in a casual setting.
It's comfortable, delicate and beautiful and I can't wait for the big day."

"Loved the dress when I saw it online and thought it would be the perfect thing for an upcoming garden party. The length of the overall dress is great - hits just below the knee - so very flattering, however the bodice part is really short. I was expecting it to hit at the natural waist, but instead it was a few inches higher than that and not at all comfortable or flattering - at least on me!"

"Overall, it's certainly pretty and we can all agree to that. But this is one you just won't know is for you till you try it on. If you have a lot of weight on top, it's probably not the best. I bought my usual size, a 4, and I'm a 34 B. It fits a bit tightly on top, but I don't carry weight up there, so it's flattering. I will need a light nude strapless bra since the fabric is so thin and light. The straps are just ridiculous; I can't make them long enough, so I wonder if it's supposed to be a lot higher up top than I'm wearing it. If I were to wear them at their longest, it would look totally stupid though because it would be so high up on my chest. Maybe that's why the other reviewers are complaining about how high the waist is. It does look better on me with a wider belt and heels. It is a little longer on bottom too, but it's okay.
This one is sorta difficult. I think I'm going to keep it, but I would like to try on a 6 before I commit to it. Maybe for $200 I shouldn't have as many problems with it though..."

"I'm 5 ft and 105 lbs with a 34b chest and i could NOT zipper this over my boobs no way... i always wear a zero from anthro but a zero in this dress doesn't stand a chance. i'd need at least a 2 or 4 and then it would be far too long. It's a pretty dress but nowhere near 200$ in quality and the fit of this dress is made for someone taller and thin. The puffiness of the skirt of the dress is a nice touch and that's the only plus I'll give it. I'd recommend this to a friend but only one out of everyone I know might stand a chance of fitting in to it."

"Sadly, this dress in real life did not live up to its beauty online. Was so excited to try this on - but it did me absolutely no favors. I am 5'2", 34C, 27" waist, usually 2 in dresses. Bust was tight so I would say this runs a little small, and top is extremely short-waisted. Crinoline is waaaaay too much for the bottom of the dress - adds volume to my hips from every angle. Skirt is also disappointing long - hits me 2-3 inches below my knee - not flattering. Had so much promise for a great summer occasion dress - would recommend for much taller ladies."

"I'm 5'11". For someone of my height, the proportions of this dress were inexcusably wacky - the wasitline was very high, but it didn't look like it was SUPPOSED to be high. It just looked like it was cut poorly, or like I was wearing a little girl's dress.
The bust is also cut on the very small side. I'm only a C cup, hardly "busty" for someone of my tall frame, and my breasts were squashed flat. On top of that, the material of the dress is so thin and sheer that even though it's lined, you could actually see my nipples through the fabric!
That said, the dress itself is absolutely gorgeous, one of the prettiest I've ever seen. If you have a body that can make it look normal - and you enjoy wearing pasties - more power to you."

"I bought this dress to wear to my upcoming wedding.I wanted my wedding to be casual yet special and this dress captures that.I love the soft cotton material and Tulle gives the dress a light airy feeling.I love the flower print, it is so unique and beautiful and artfully placed on the dress.I am 120 lbs and a size 4 fits perfect and actually compliments my figure.My only complaint is that the straps could of been constructed better.Other than that I love this dress!"

"I totally disagree with the reviewer who said this was poorly constructed and cheap material. (My grandfather was a tailor, so I am very picky and know what to look for) This dress is well made and although the fabric is thin it is high quality and the dress is lined. Unfortuanately I could not buy this dress because the store did not have my size and my size is no longer available on line either. There is a reason this dress is selling well - it's a great dress"

"Incredibly ill-fitting. It looks like the proportions are "normal" in the photo, but this is very deceiving. The waist is VERY high causing the dress to foof out a lot, right at about your belly button. It is also quite small in the bust. I've tried on enough dresses from anthropologie to know what size i need, but if you have any boobs at all, I would recommend sizing up.
Quality was what I would expect. It will wrinkle easily.
Overall, this is NOT flattering to my hourglass shape. Back it goes."

"I absolutely love this dress. It is so summery! I love the details and the straps.
I believe this dress runs small. I'm normally a 2 in dresses but my store didn't have a 2 so I tried a 4. The 4 was a little snug at the top (which is strange because I have a very small upper body). So I would consider sizing up on this one, especially if you are bigger on top.
The skirt is very full but I don't think it makes me look any bigger. For reference, I'm 5'5", 118 lbs and a 34b."

"I was in need of a dress to wear to an evening outdoor wedding & I stumbled across this dress at my anthro store. Although it is cream, it has enough color to make it acceptable for a wedding. I paired it with a rustic red belt & red ballet flats to balance it out. It's such a precious dress & so figure flattering--it made my waist look so tiny! Definitely will become a summer staple dress for me. Oh, and it does amazing things when you dance in it--it twirls beautifully when you spin & move!"

"I tried this on in the store yesterday and it is not nearly as cute as it looks. The shape falls strangely, you would need to wear a belt with it. It also seems to be pretty poorly constructed with cheap fabric. I would skip it."
